I thought Art School would be easy, but being here in my Freshman year since August has been stressing me out beyond belief.  I've been really sleep deprived because projects are so tedious and hard to do.  The ideas we have to think up are so complex, and we only have a week to do them.  The 6 hour class we have is more than I can handle; but despite all of those downsides, I still love the school with all my heart.  It's so wonderful to wake up every morning and know that you only have to paint and draw that day.  Liberal arts classes always made me depressed, and it makes me feel so good to know that my two favorite liberal arts subjects a

I don't think I've worked with pastel in years! I must have been 13 or 14 the last time I used them! [Chalk Pastels] Well last night I was thinking of a way to make my mom a kick ass Mothers Day present. I figured out that I was going to make a series of 4 photos of me growing up. [Different stages of my life.] I picked out the photos and decided to use this large piece of cardboard I had here from something. It took me a total of 15 hours of work. (Not straight!) I always had a problem cleaning the oils and acrylics off of my pallette, but I finally found something that works like a charm! It's that Dawn Power Dissolver. I definitely won't use the Dawn Scrub brush on it, but I use one of those textured sponges. It doesn't even take 10 minutes for all of the paint to come right off. That stuff is amazing! I gotta stock up on it when I go to art school! lol I'm gonna need it.
